At Interiority Complex, we believe that you should never have to suffer from an interior (or lifestyle, for that matter) that leaves you feeling inferior. Through our online “showroom” and Blah-Blah-Blog, we dish out our own unique brand of design therapy, inspiration and resources.

Our mission is to make you laugh (even at yourself, at times) while helping you to master the art of loving how & where you live in a sustainably stylish, fun and colorful way.

 

 

Creative Director & Founder, Ashley Whittenberger

After a decade of running a successful design firm which she launched in 2002, Ashley changed the course of Interiority Complex completely. Forging new territory, in 2012, Ashley began converting the business from a service & retail model to a product-based lifestyle brand offered exclusively through select retailers and storefronts.

A self-proclaimed “paint-a-hue-lic” &  “furniture rehab junkie”,  Ashley is known for her eye for color and for her ability to turn ho-hum finds into one-of-a-kind originals that “don’t suck”.  Her passion for salvaging and rehabilitating furniture with well-designed “bones” and operating an eco-friendly business continues to fuel her paint-a-hue-licism and provide design therapy for her own soul.

When Ashley isn’t combing through flea markets, fondling bolts of fabric or drooling over paint swatches, she enjoys the heck out of life at her home, Cosmic Acres, where she resides with her husband, son, 3 piggies, 2 doggies & 3 cats.  In her free time, you can find her hiking, mountain biking, road tripping and studying to become a Texas Master Naturalist.
