definition: an Interiority Complex®, in the field of interior design psychology, is a feeling that one’s interior is inferior to others in some way. Such feelings can arise from an imagined or actual inferiority in the afflicted space. It is thought to drive the owners of the afflicted spaces to become decoratively paralyzed and/or to over-compensate resulting either in underwhelming décor or extreme schizotypal decor, or both.
